The shortlist for the Celebrating Success Awards 2026 has now been revealed.

With so many incredible nominations received, the judging panel faced a significant challenge in selecting just three finalists for each award category. The standard of entries was exceptionally high, showcasing the dedication, compassion and professionalism demonstrated by colleagues across NHS Lothian every day.

After careful deliberation, the panel has finalised its selections. Staff can now view the full shortlist for each category on the news website.

Recognising excellence across the organisation, Tom Power, Director of People and Culture, said:

“I want to warmly congratulate everyone who has been shortlisted for this year’s awards. Being shortlisted is a real achievement and reflects the exceptional commitment, skill and compassion you bring to your work every day.

“I also want to recognise the many outstanding colleagues who were nominated but not shortlisted, the quality and volume of nominations were incredibly high, and every nomination is a powerful testament to the impact you make for patients, colleagues and our organisation.”

He added:

“Nominating someone for Celebrating Success is truly one of the best ways you can recognise your colleagues, so I would like to thank everyone who took the time to do this. It really helps to highlight our values of care and compassion; dignity and respect; quality and teamwork; and openness, honesty and responsibility.”

Celebrating Success is proudly supported by NHS Lothian Charity, helping to recognise and celebrate the achievements of staff across the organisation.

This year’s ceremony will take place on Friday 2 October 2026 in the Paderewski Lecture Theatre at the Western General Hospital.

Finalists from each category will be invited to attend the annual Awards Ceremony, where staff will celebrate their remarkable achievements and announce our deserving winners. The event will once again be hosted by TV and radio presenter Arlene Stuart.
